David R Botto age 95 of Norwood passed away on July 19, 2025.
David was a graduate of Moorestown High School, New Jersey where he ran track and participated in the 1940's Penn Relays receiving many medals. A U.S. Air Force Veteran he served during the Korean War. Upon being honorably discharged, he then went on to complete the certificate program from Temple University Architectural Design and Building Construction.
He retired in 1993 from DuPont where he worked as a Chemist Supervisor and then went on to work at Century Auto Body in Tinicum for 12 years.
A car enthusiast, David enjoyed working on his cars and attending raceways and collecting autographs. He also enjoyed cryptograms and spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his wife Peggy Botto who passed in 2000 and his daughter Diane Botto who passed while serving in the Military in 1981.
Survivors: Loving father of Donna (Glenn) King and David R. (Gale) Botto, cherished pops of David, Kim (Drew), AJ, James (Katie), Corrine (Shawn), Timothy (Alyssa) and Clara (Kevin), great grandfather of 17 and great great grandfather of 3.
Funeral Service: 11am Monday July 28, 2025 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike Glenolden, PA 19036.
Visitation: 10-11am on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial: Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Legion Post #566, 35 Glen Ave Glenolden, PA. 19036 would be appreciated.
