David (Dave) Clark Clendaniel, age 66, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on July 23, 2024. Born in Ellwood City, PA, Dave moved to Chesterton, IN, at the age of 11 and spent his entire adult life in Lake Station.
Dave was a devoted husband to his wife of 47 years, Dee. He was a loving father to his son, Corey, and his daughter, Shannon (Joe) Kolosci, and a proud papa to his grandchildren, Zoe, Seph, and Parker. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Eugene and Anna Louise Clendaniel, and his sister Joyce (David) Jones. He is survived by brothers, Les (Terri), Doug (Kathy), Ed (Sue), Michael (Betsy) Delfine, and numerous Sopiak/Clendaniel/Severs family members.
Dave's life was marked by his passions and interests. He found joy jamming out with his musician family and delighted in riding his motorcycle around town. An enthusiast of fireworks displays and parades, he was also a pumpkin carving master, world class egg decorator, and lover of St. Patty's Day and Mardi Gras celebrations. He always looked forward to vacations centered around food and music. Dave loved slapstick humor and cartoons, inappropriate jokes, eating his grandkids' piggies and was a regular jack-of-all-trades-go-to fix-it man for everyone around him.
A musical celebration of Dave's life will be held at his childhood home, 500 Woodlawn Ave., Chesterton, IN, on August 16, 2024 from 4:00 pm-10:00 pm. Jam night style, bring your gear.
Dave will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the music he played, and the love he gave.
Arrangements entrusted to Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, IN. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ee-fh.com.
