David L. Crothers, 63, of Delaware, passed away early Monday morning, July 28, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital unexpectedly following a long road of health complications. One of four children, David was born June 16, 1962, in Dayton to the late Donald R. and Barabara Ann (Croft) Crothers. A 1980 graduate of Hallsville High School, he furthered his education at CTI in architecture, before beginning a career in architecture and design. One to always keep busy, David was a great provider and had multiple jobs at any one time. He worked in construction building poll barns, was the general manager at Grumman Flxible for 17 years as well as owner and operator of D&D Improvements before beginning a career at Honda for 25 years. David was a big lover of music, and he played the guitar over 40 years. He enjoyed camping, sitting around bonfires and playing music for anyone who loved to listen, and had a goofy, fun-loving personality. He was always worried about the other people in his life, and he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need – he innately had a heart of gold. He is survived by his daughter, Keely (Shane Birchfield) Crothers; his siblings Michael C. (Pam) Crothers of Beavercreek, and Kathleen (Louis) Chavis of South Carolina; ex-wife and friend Debra (Sean Randall) Crothers; and numerous extended family members and friends. Along with his parents, David was also preceded in death by brother Kevin Crothers. Private family services will be held at Silvercreek Township Old Cemetery in Jamestown, Ohio, with burial next to his parents. In David's memory, contributions may be made to Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, to help the family with unexpected expenses. Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve David's family, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.IngramFuneralService.com.
