How does one sum up Dave without a giggle. My memories of Dave are all hilarious and I am certain he would want us to smile when we remember him. I wish I had seen him more recently just to hear his wit and add another reason to giggle.

Ah Davey....he had the Drohan gift of gab - an Irishman through and through. No one could tell a story quite like Davey (except perhaps his dad...after all, the branch doesn't fall far from the tree). Embellishment was a key part to all the stories. Half the time you were laughing, you didn't even know why. It was all in the telling. Beyond that, Davey was a kind and compassionate man who would do anything for his family and friends. My kids were the 'runts' of our extended family group - but Davey always included them and never made them feel less important. He never met a sport he didn't like... or a person, for that matter. Kind of an Irish Will Rogers. Davey will be missed but his legacy, passion and humor will love on in his stories. So much love to his family.

As you might imagine, Dave had a tight circle of friends at Villanova, and I was fortunate to be one of them. He was incredibly generous, funny and you knew that he would do anything for you. He was the glue that kept our group of about 15 guys all these years. The stories we have are legendary. From fraternity parties to pick up basketball they tell the story of a great friend and person. We love you Dave!

I played hockey with Dave for decades and will miss his great sense of humor, attitude, and his defensive play in front of my net.
