David Brian Ellis aka "Saddle" was born July 8, 1966 to Arthur McKenzie(deceased)
& Cheryl Headley in the United States of America. He spent his youthful years in the
beautiful twin island of Trinidad and Tobago.
He grew up in the care of his grandmother Pearl Mitchell (deceased), with his Uncle
Keith Jackman(deceased) & cousin Karen Headley in Barataria, Trinidad & Tobago.
As a child he was very energetic, had a mind of his own, and loved to dance.
David attended All Saints Anglican Primary School, and Saint James Secondary
School in Port of Spain Trinidad.
In 1984 he returned back to the United States and resided with his aunt Angela
Headley (deceased) for a number of years. David had an enormous heart, and was
the go to person for his friends that migrated to the US from Trinidad, he opened
his heart and his doors and housed them all into his one room space. David loved to
ride bike and would bike everywhere, he even obtained employment as a bike
courier where he was given the name "Saddle".
David and Allison Joseph-Ellis fathered his beautiful daughter Summer Ellis on
August 6, 1997, whom he cherished and loved dearly. His fatherly love for her
created a bond so strong, it exceeded time and space. If you knew David, you
definitely knew or heard about Summer who he fondly called Sum Sum, she was
David's entire world and he was hers as well. He not only was a great & supportive
father to her, his love, care, guidance and support was extended to Summer's
siblings Chadette and Caleb as well.
David had a talent for entertaining and spreading laughter amongst his friends. He
truly was one-of-a kind, special and loving beyond measure. He was well loved by
each and every person that he had the pleasure of building a relationship with, and
it was shown by his countless friend's circle.
David leave's to cherish his memory, his mother Cheryl Headley Cape, his father Roy
Cape, his daughter Summer Ellis, his sisters JoAnn Cape-Julien, Kathy Marcelle,
Juliana Landeau, his brother Roy Cape Jr. and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,
Relatives and friends, too many to name
