David Faz, age 81, of Sudan, Texas, died Sunday, March 2, 2025 in Sudan. He was born on August 16, 1943 in Del Rio, Texas to John and Gomilinda (Moreo) Faz. He married Gloria Lopez in Sterling, Colorado on July 13, 1964. David and Gloria were blessed with 60 years of marriage.
David worked for the Central Compress in Sudan for over 45 years. He was a man who took great pride in his yard, always making sure it was well-kept and beautiful. A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he never missed a game and cheered them on through every season. David had a deep love for cotton and the small-town life of Sudan, Texas, where he spent many cherished years. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandsons, who brought him endless joy and laughter. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Oliva Chapa.
David is survived by his wife, Gloria; his daughter, Jennie Faz of Sudan, Texas; daughter, Sabrina Reyher, of Sudan, Texas; brother, Cheo Faz and his wife, Lola, of Fort Morgan, Colorado; two grandsons, Dakota Reyher and Aspen Reyher.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Shelby's Bridge, 1101 Hay, Sudan, Texas, 79371 or Sudan Senior Meals, c/o First United Bank, PO Box 60, Sudan, Texas, 79371.
