Rev. David M. Fischi, of Plains Township, was called home to the Lord on Thursday evening, July 31, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born on June 8, 1935, in Plains, PA, David was the son of Rev. Charles and Mary Fischi. He attended Wilkes University and went on to earn a Master's degree from Lehigh University. David devoted much of his career to psychology, serving as Assistant Director of the Counseling Center at Northeastern University.

Together with his beloved late wife, Elizabeth (Betty), he raised their family in Needham, Massachusetts. Later in life, David and Elizabeth returned to Pennsylvania, where he embraced his final and truest calling as Pastor of the Christian Apostolic Church of Hilldale in Plains Twp. Guided by God's grace, he faithfully served the Church, dedicating himself fully to the ministry.

He is survived by his son, David, and his wife, Karen, of Groton, Massachusetts; his son, Douglas, and his wife, Lia, of Manlius, New York; and his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth), and her husband, Allen, of Reno, Nevada. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Johanna, Benjamin, Nathaniel, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Sarah. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Anita Scalzetti and Charlene Rubin; his brother, Richard Fischi, and his wife, Bernadine; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Matthew Scalzetti and Dr. Robert Rubin.

David will be deeply missed - not only for his presence, but for the light and solemn devotion to God that he brought into the lives of all who knew him. His legacy will continue to inspire us to serve others in the same spirit of love and faithfulness that he so clearly exemplified.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM at the Christian Apostolic Church of Hilldale, GPS address, 757 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Funeral services will be held at the same Church on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in DeWitt, NY. Arrangements by Yeosock Funeral Home, Plains Township.
