David Arnold Fish

David Arnold Fish, 85, of Delaware passed away peacefully late Friday afternoon, November 21, 2025 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born May 3, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles Louis Fish and Helen (Young) Fish. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. On May 25, 1968, he married the love of his life, Linda Hart. Together they shared 57 years of marriage.
David served as a firefighter and captain with the Delaware Fire Department, retiring after 20 years. He was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #115, both of Delaware, the Central Ohio Retired Firefighter's Association and the Ohio Police and Fire Retirees Association. He enjoyed reading, fishing, his pets and spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda; sons, Dana Fish of Bellefontaine, Kevin (Shelly Casto) Fish of Columbus, and Brian (Rita) Fish of West Jefferson; grandchildren, Ryan (Emily), Morgan, Gabriel, and Eliza Fish; brothers, William John Fish of New Dover and Jerry Allen Fish of Marion; sister, Sylvia Lee (Rick) Fosnaugh of Lakeview; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother Charles Louis Fish Jr. and his sister Joan Keen.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 3 - 5 pm at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Marlboro Cemetery with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Association and members of the United States Army. The family has requested casual attire.
Contributions in David's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County, Nationwide Children's Hospital or St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
