David Paul Foret, 70, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was a native of Schriever and resident of Thibodaux, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2085 St. Mary St., Thibodaux, La 70301 on Saturday, October 11, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in the church cemetery.
David is survived by his by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Boudreaux Foret; son, Drew Paul Foret and wife, Amber; grandchildren, Eleanor Virginia Foret and William Luke Foret; brothers, Isaac P. Foret, Jr. and wife, Louise, and Raymond Foret and wife, Diane; sisters, Clara Sevin and husband, Harold, Theresa Vidrine and husband, Roy “PRV”, and Mary Boudreaux; brother-in-law, Michael Ledet and wife, Carol; and 7 nephews, 12 nieces, 15 great-nephews, 13 great-nieces, and many great-great nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his son, PFC Devin Paul Foret; parents, Isaac Phillip Foret, Sr. and Edna Elizabeth Duplantis Foret; brothers, Arthur Foret and wife, Barbara, and Donald Foret, Sr. and wife, Judy; brother-in-law, Albert Boudreaux; nephew, Gary Foret; 1 great-nephew and 1 great-niece; in-laws, Lollace J. Boudreaux, and Vivian T. LeRay and husband, Ronald; and 3 brothers-in-law (Barbara’s brothers).
David was a self-employed contract welder. He was employed with North American for 23 years. David will be dearly miss by many.
