DAVID "SKIPPER" FOSTER, 77, moved on from this life on Friday, September 27,2024.
Born in Catskill in 1947, to the late Charles Foster and Bernice (McPartland) Foster.
Skip enjoyed all things outdoors; listening to the rainfall hitting metal roofs, tanning in the
sunlight, going to the beaches, boating, camping, watching the birds, hunting, fishing or even
yard work. Skip loved the top down cruising to some Bob Segar. Skip was a wonderful Foster
parent for many years. He found pride and joy helping many children, and giving them the love
of a father that they truly needed.
Skip's pride and joy was his son Luis, and Skip made sure that anyone he crossed paths with
and spoke to knew this. Skip and Luis were inseparable. Through everything in life Skip always
went out of his way to make any day special. On a rainy or snowy day, you could find him sitting
on a bench or porch just smiling and being at peace. Skip loved the many aspects life had to
give, and could easily find positivity no matter where he was.
Skip will be deeply missed and forever loved by his son Luis Foster, his daughter in law Jocelyn,
his grandchildren Jordyne Dilorenzo, Nova Foster, Luna Ayla Foster, Kataleya Foster, Luis
Foster, Kaelyn Hibbert, Atlantis Foster, and Anvi Nyx Foster, his surviving siblings Jacqueline
Gugliara, Evelyn Brennan, Bernice McCabe, and Dennis Foster. He also leaves behind many
nieces and nephews, as well as friends not only his own, but also the ones he made through his
son Luis. Skip was known as "Pops" to Luis's friends.
He now joins his predeceased siblings Sherry Foster, Margaret Finch, Norma Petalas, Kathleen
Litchko, Charles Foster Jr., James McPartland, and Rosemary Foster and his parents Charles
Foster and Bernice (McPartland) Foster.
David H. Foster. The most Beautiful man with the biggest heart.
At this time there will be no services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the W.C. Brady's Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie.
