David Bruce "Dave" Hamilton, 81, of Raymond, NH, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 25, 2025.

He was born on October 7, 1943, in Bethlehem, PA, son of the late George F. Hamilton and Margaret M. (Strawn) Shedmock. Dave grew up in Allentown, PA, alongside his twin brother, George, and graduated from William Allen High School in 1961. Shortly after, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably until his discharge on June 26, 1965. Rising to the rank of Corporal, Dave spent most of his service in Okinawa during the Vietnam War, working in supply.

From his first marriage to Beatrice (Houser) Hamilton, Dave was blessed with two children, Elizabeth and David. They made their home for 18 years in Seymour, CT. Professionally, Dave dedicated more than 40 years to Burndy Co., where he worked as a respected product manager. Dave earned his Bachelors Degree while working at Burndy.

In 1987, Dave's life was forever changed when he met Marian, a colleague at Burndy. That same year, they moved to Raymond, NH, and on March 15, 1991, they were married, beginning more than three decades of love, companionship, and shared memories together.

A man of faith and service, Dave was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Church in Epping, where he held numerous leadership positions over the years; Grand Knight of the Council, Faithful Navigator of the Assembly. He was especially proud to serve as a 4th Degree Knight and as a District Deputy.

Outside of his commitments, Dave found joy in his lifelong passion for model trains. He was an active member of a local train club, where he enjoyed not only the hobby itself but also the friendships and camaraderie it brought.

Dave will be remembered as a proud Marine, a man of deep faith, a dedicated professional, and above all, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marian Jozepaitis; his daughter and spouse, Elizabeth C. Hamilton and Hollyann Hamilton of Batavia, OH; his son, David M. Hamilton of Coopersburg, PA; his grandchildren, Trevor Hamilton, Matthew Barry, and Mathew Cushing; and his twin brother, George Hamilton also of Coopersburg, PA.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave's memory to Toys for Tots at https://www.toysfortots.org/.

I was very saddened of me to hear the news of his passing two days ago from my parents. Rest in peace Dave, thank you so much for getting me back into the model train hobby again, if it wasn´t for you, I wouldn´t have this great train collection I have now. My heart goes out to your wife Marian and the rest of your family members. You are in a better place now and you´re no longer suffering. Thank you for everything Dave, god bless your soul.
