Frank G. Poirier

Frank Gordon Poirier, 69, of Raymond, NH, passed away surrounded by family at his home on August 20, 2025, after a period of declining health.

Born on January 9, 1956, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Frank was the youngest of two sons of Raymond and Alice (Campbell) Poirier. He grew up in Groveland, MA, and attended Pentucket High School in West Newbury, MA, and Whittier Vocational High School in Haverhill, MA, before proudly enlisting in the United States Army. Frank served honorably for three years, spending much of his time stationed at Ft. Devens in MA, and was discharged on September 7, 1978.

Following his service, Frank built a long and hardworking career as a truck driver, most recently employed with Boston Granite Exchange in Haverhill, MA. Known for his strong work ethic, he provided faithfully for his family throughout his life.

On July 23, 1988, Frank married the love of his life, Polly Thompson. Together, they created a life full of love and adventure, living in Haverhill, MA, Seabrook Beach, NH, and Plum Island, MA, before settling in Raymond, NH, where they made their home for the past 33 years.

Frank will be remembered not only as a devoted husband and father, but also as a man who embraced the simple joys of life. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, spending time outdoors cutting cordwood, and taking pride in hardscaping and projects around the house. Above all, Frank cherished his family, and his happiest moments were those spent with them.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Polly Poirier; his children, Tara Poirier and her husband, Eric Wendall of Georgetown, MA, Beau Poirier of Wolfeboro, NH, Joseph Poirier of Raymond, NH, and Melissa Poirier of Raymond, NH; eight grandchildren, Sean Curtis and his wife, Julia, Tyler Kenney, Madelynn Kenney, Demian Poirier, Darian Poirier, Emily Stackhouse, Andrew Stackhouse, and Ryker Poirier; two great-grandsons, Greyson Curtis and Christopher Curtis; and his brother, Robert Poirier of Haverhill, MA.

Family and friends are warmly invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 14, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM at the family home, 18 Mountain Rd., Raymond, NH. Military honors will be rendered at 3:00 PM.
