David Hammond Obituary

David spent his whole life on a beef farm while teaching his son to take over someday. He cherished the time he spent with his family and enjoyed the outdoors. David was an avid basketball fan and could often be seen at many of the local sporting events. Besides being a beef farmer, David retired from Corning, Inc in 2021 following 45 years of service. He was also a huge Trump supporter and would often be seen with Trump memorabilia. David served in the Bradford Baptist Church for many years.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Lisa) Hammond, daughter, Michele (Adam) Makitra, grandchildren, Alec, Allissa, Connor, and Jayce, siblings, Cheryl (Steve) Hiltbrand, John (Carol) Hammond, Cindy (Tim) Glick, and Melody Czopkiewicz, special friend, Gary, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Bradford Baptist Church, 2788 Yawger Hill Road, Bradford, on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow there at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Bradford Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family requests contributions be made to the Hammond family to assist with unforeseen expenses during this difficult time. It was David's greatest wish that the farm be able to remain in the family for future generations.
