I went to grade school and high school with Dave at Good Shepherd and West Catholic. We were in all the same classes early in grade school. He was a great guy, always laughing and joking. He had such a great personality. I can still see his smile as a kid in the photo above. I am so sorry for your family's loss. Praying for you all. Dave Newman.

So sorry to hear the sad news. It was a blessing to have grown up with Dave. Since the nuns and christian brothers had a thing about lining us up in alphabetical order, I often ended up sitting near Dave in school. He had a real knack for never getting caught cracking jokes, while I would get busted for laughing. Thinking of him now brings a smile to my face. The days in southwest Philly were brighter because of Dave. Truly a great guy.

Devastated by this news.
We watched our boys grow up together at Huntzinger's Karate.
Enjoyed a lot of good talks, good laughs, and good times.
Rest in peace my friend, you'll sorely be missed.
Gone but not forgotten.

I remember in the early days at Good Shepherd. When are whole world centered around, Mcreesh play ground. From Basket ball to Baseball and football, we did it all.We were all so competitive. I remember Mr. Hawley coaching little league Baseball. Jacky+Dave played on his team. Myself+other friends on other teams. Watching Barbs video,Reminds me of Dave coaching john+jimmy. With the same love+pride. What a beautiful thing to see.Just a different time.To many more to list. He will always be my friend, in life and in my memories. My love to Barbra and The boys. My sincere condolences to the families touched by Dave's death. He was clearly a man who brought joy and humor to all he met. His sister, Patty, and I were colleagues at PNC and I recall many great stories lovingly related to us over the years. He will be missed but not forgotten
