David Hensley Jr. of Campbellsville, the son of the late David Hensley Sr. and Mary Eula Priddy Hensley, was born on October 19, 1946, in Clovis, California, and departed this life on April 11, 2025, in Campbellsville. He was 78 years of age.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was a former employee of Cox Interior. He enjoyed watching old westerns, '57 Chevy's, and other old cars, pinto beans and cornbread, and a good glass of sweet tea.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Harris Hensley, having united in marriage on July 17, 1971.
Three children also survive: Charles Hensley of Campbellsville, Lisa Cox and her husband Russell of Greensburg, and Robert Hensley of Campbellsville. Two grandchildren: Tyler Cox and Nicholas Cox.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Norman Cox and Gene Shines.
The funeral service for David Hensley Jr. will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.
The family has requested visitation on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
