Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Darel, and Donald, and baby brother Gary. David is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Darlene (Wuske) Ison; children David (Jen) Ison of Canton, Mike (Stacey) Ison of Alliance, and Stefanie (Craig) Knouff of Paris; grandchildren Devan, Merina, and Dustyn; three great-grandchildren; and siblings Linda (John) Lilly and Jim (Kathy) Riley. Also survived by grand-pups and Sammy the cat.
Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Web Parsons officiating. Entombment to follow in North Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.

I never met his family so you don´t know me, but I want you to know how well I thought of Dave as a co-worker, helper and most of all a friend. I worked with Dave for years at Timken and he helped me through many outages, maintenance days and projects. Few people understand the pressures, the challenges and the sacrifices people like Dave made working there but those that do know. He enriched my life and I am sure his family appreciated that same dedication in theirs too. You will be sorely missed but never forgotten! Andy Black

I considered Dave a dear friend. He was a great guy who will be missed by all. I worked with him with Timken and also played golf with him on many many many occasions. I also enjoyed our dinners together when we would get the group together for our monthly Timken Dinner. Darlene, our hearts are with you as you go through this terrible loss. Lora and I send all our prayers.
