David Kehoe Obituary

David Lee Kehoe was born on December 1, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan to Leon and Eleanor Kehoe. David, who resided in Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 71. Loving father of Katie (Ryan) Kehoe-Crooks and Sharri (Aaron) Kelley, and dearest grandfather of Jane and Dani. Dear brother of Mike (late wife Vicki), Don (Carol), Pat (Kim), and Karen. He is also survived by many cousins, close friends, nieces, and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his longtime girlfriend, Patty Cousineau. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
Dave, a cherished family man, respected businessman, and friend to many, passed away surrounded by love and warmth. His life was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and the joys of simple pleasures shared with loved ones.
Dave spent many years working at McNichol's Electric, a small appliance repair shop that was opened by his father in 1953 and run by him and his brothers until 2020. Dave's work at McNichol's Electric was more than a job; it was a calling that allowed him to provide a comfortable life for his family and carry on his father's legacy with his brothers. His family remembers him not only for his accomplishments but also for his role as a loving provider and a person you could come to who would always offer you strength.
Dave was an easygoing man who was fun to be around due to his unique sense of humor. He enjoyed being on the water as a young man, and most recently taking friends and family on boat rides on the Detroit River. Dave and his brothers owned property in Caseville, Michigan, where he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. There were also many family camping trips and memories made around the bonfire there. As a family-man, Dave was extremely close to his two daughters, their husbands, and his two granddaughters. He spent a lot of time just enjoying quality time in the form
of family dinners, barbecues, and treating his daughters and granddaughters with tickets to plays like Phantom of the Opera. He also had a passion for hockey, as he and a close buddy held season tickets to the Red Wings for years, dedicated to cheering on their favorite team.
As we say goodbye to Dave, we remember a man who lived life fully and loved deeply. His impact on the people around him was significant, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his life of integrity, generosity, and a warm sense of humor that could light up a room. Though we have to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that Dave's spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. His was a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends, and it serves as a reminder to cherish every moment and make the most of the time we have together. Dave will be profoundly missed, but the memories he created with us will be with us forever.
