David R. Kopp, 74, of Morris passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital. David was born on March 20, 1950, in Brooklyn; son of Robert and Olive (Norkus) Kopp. On February 10, 1974, he married the love of his life, Jean Junginger.
In 1969, David entered the NAVY and served for one year. He enjoyed music and was a member of The Rainmakers who played on the Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour on CBS in 1966. He later created Rock Bottom, playing country rock music. David owned the Patrick Hill Maple Farm in Morris. He was a joyous man who was known as the "pancake man" at the Cobleskill and Schaghicoke Fair.
David is survived by his loving wife, Jean; mother, Olive; son, David (Teresa); daughter, Jennifer (Jamie); son, Robert; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Sue, Diane, Jane and Laura. He is predeceased by his father Robert.
Family and friends are invited to Visitation Hours from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris, NY 13808.
Memorial contributions in memory of David can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
