Funeral services for David Larson, 51-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Saturday at his home in Buffalo, will be held Saturday May 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Paul Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. The American Legion and VFW will be in charge of military graveside rites. Donations in David's memory may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation at www.rmef.org. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com.
David Wayne Larson was born on June 10, 1972, in Casper, Wyoming to Kenneth and Lorna Larson. He grew up and went to school in Midwest, Wyoming and graduated from Midwest High School with the class of 1992. After high school he joined U.S. Army and did his basic training in Oklahoma and then served at Fort Lee in Virginia. He received an honorable discharge in 1994 and returned to Casper, Wyoming. He was married in 1994 in Casper to Jackie Taylor and they made their home in Casper where he worked in the Oil Fields. The couple had two children, Kristin, and William, and in 2000 they were divorced. He was married in 2011 to Melody Donahue and they lived in Buffalo where he was a wonderful stepfather to Chrissy and Hope. He continued living in Buffalo and worked for Kodiak Gas, a company and job he truly loved until his death.
David was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the mountains. His passion was spending time with family and friends. His true love was being Pop-Pop to his grand kids.
He is survived by his wife Melody Larson of Buffalo; one son William Larson of Colorado; one daughter Kristin Rush and her husband Darian of Casper; two step-daughters Chrissy Carpenter and her husband Brayden and Hope Rogers and her husband Trevor all of Buffalo; one brother Stoney Ferguson of Buffalo; Three sisters, Linda Korsch and her husband Pete of Banner, Wyoming, Chrystal Teigland and her husband Dave also of Banner and Autumn Salway and her partner Scott Griffiths of Edgerton, Wyoming, and six grandchildren, Olivia (Olive Ray), Nova (No No), Kaylynn (Bitty), Jensen, Donnie and Brason plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

When we were in elementary school at Midwest I remember he could run like the wind. David was always a kind heart and a great person. Hearing of your loss saddens me. We are praying for you.
