David Daniel Lashuk, age 83, passed away on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada, he later moved to the Cleveland, Ohio, area and graduated from Collinwood High School-a place he would call home for the rest of his life.
David met the love of his life, Marianne, in the Cleveland area, and they shared 57 years of marriage built on friendship, dedication, and unwavering love. Together, they raised two sons, Aaron and Bryan, who were a constant source of pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Tina Lashuk, and his brothers, Walter and Peter. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; and his two sons, Aaron and Bryan.
David enjoyed a long career as a mechanical draftsman and retired from Philips Medical. He was known for his warm, upbeat spirit, he had a gift for brightening the day of anyone he met. He approached life with enthusiasm and embraced hobbies that reflected his love of nature, creativity, and adventure.
In his youth, he enjoyed muscle cars, snowmobiling, dirt-bike riding, and fishing. He also enjoyed watching Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football, traveling, gardening, and landscaping throughout life. He also had a passion for photography and building balsa-wood model airplanes-pursuits that blended his technical skill with his appreciation for detailed craftsmanship.
He was an active member of the Chagrin River Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Willoughby, Ohio. His faith was central to his life, and he was dedicated to studying the Bible and sharing comforting words, thoughtful insights, and hope with others.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Lake West Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for their professional, compassionate care. Their support brought comfort during a difficult time and will always be remembered.
David's legacy lives on in the love he gave, the joy he shared, and the many lives he touched with his warmth, humility, and gentle kindness.
In keeping with David's wishes, no memorial service will be held.

Dave/Brother beloved was a wonderful Brother to know. Even when he was not feeling his best, he always gave a smile and very encouraging words. He and Marianne made it a pleasure to be a part of the chagrin River family. Eddie and I will truly miss Brother beloved tremendously, but remember, we'll see him very shortly. Paradise is right across the street. So Marianne and family continue to comfort strengthen and encourage each other until we see brother beloved again. Eddie and Jina

Altough I only met Brother Lashuk a few years ago, I appreciated his kindness and always welcomed his warm smile. I send my love to Sister Lashuk and their sons and pray for the time when we will all be together in the world where we will no longer face sad times like these according to Jehovah's promises.

Dave had the kind of personality that drew people to him; he was so easy to talk to. We learned a lot about different gardening methods from him. We would talk to him to get his expertise on growing tomatoes, and lots of other topics too. We are longing to talk to him again when his memories are fully restored and see his beautiful smile again. Hang in there Marianne, Brian, and Aaron, it won't be long...

Marianne, I am so very saddened for your loss. We all had some good memories of when we were younger in the truth. Keep all those memories in front of you as we wait to see our loved ones again very soon. Psalm 121. With Sympathy, Joan Meyer and family.
