David Stirton Linscomb

David Stirton Linscomb, 79, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at his home.
David was born June 23,1946 in Beaumont, Texas where he spent his childhood. He graduated from South Park High School. He met his future wife, Susie, at a very young age. When they married on July 14,1967, it was a meaningful ceremony and celebration with their families in Orange, Texas.
David graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He worked as a pyrotechnical engineer at NASA during the moon landing in 1969. He later entered the United States Coast Guard and served honorably until he was discharged in June of 1973. David was very proud that he could serve his country. He continued to serve and to help people throughout his entire life. David volunteered his time with rescued animals and was a member of the HOA Board of Cross Creek Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Dorothy Ann and Cecil Linscomb; and his sister, Edith Ann Griffith. David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Susie Linscomb.
