David Marcoux of Fletcher, North Carolina, born on April 5, 1962, in Wayne County, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. He was 62 years old.
David was a man who embraced life with a joyful spirit and an infectious sense of humor. His laughter brought light to those around him, and he had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. Whether sharing a meal with loved ones or telling a well-timed joke, David's presence was always a source of warmth and happiness.
Throughout his life, David cherished the company of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Marcoux, and his mother, Vicki Kiehl Kniffen. Surviving him are stepfather, Michael Kniffen; his four loving siblings, Robin Marcoux Flores and her husband Rick, Peter Kniffen and his wife Tonya, Jared Kniffen, and Karen Kniffen. He also leaves behind a niece, Emily; three nephews, Michael, Maddux, and Jaxon; and one great-nephew, Gunner, all of whom he adored.
David's love for good food was well-known among those who knew him. He believed in the power of sharing meals as a way to bring people together, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love.
Although David did not seek accolades or recognition, his greatest achievement was the joy he brought to others. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private celebration of David's life will be held at a later date. In remembrance of David, may we all strive to live with a heart full of laughter and love, cherishing each day with gratitude and joy.
