LACONIA ---- David Westley Milliken, 83, of Webster Street, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at home.
David was born on May 7, 1941, in Laconia, NH, the son of the late Richard Milliken and Elizabeth (Gilson) Milliken.
David was a lifetime city resident, graduating from Laconia High School in 1959. After high school, David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. After his time in the military, David returned to Laconia, where he was employed by Decorative Interiors as a salesman and installer for over 55 years.
David was a joker, and loved to make people laugh. He valued his mornings at the Community Wellness Center and his daily walks on the track. When he wasn't telling you a joke, he could be found watching sports or spoiling his dog.
David is survived by his stepson, Donald Graham and his wife Claire; stepdaughter, Lisa Graham; nephew, Rick Milliken and his wife Gail; niece, Vicky Milliken; great nephews Nicholas Milliken and Jonelle Waterman, Dustin Milliken and Megan DeNutte, and Benjamin Fields; and great niece, Emily and Jeremy McKean. David also leaves behind his beloved dog, Mischif. In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brother, Byron Milliken, and his sister, Ann Jenks.
At David's request, there will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
