David Eric Mitchell

David Eric Mitchell, 40, from Wilmington, DE, passed away October 18, 2024. He was predeceased by his father David Lewis Mitchell, his maternal grandparents Ann and John Naughton, his paternal grandparents Ruth and Williard Mitchell and his aunt Deborah (Naughton) Swiatek.
He is survived by his mother Coleen (Naughton) Massey, and 2 brothers Jeffrey Mitchell and James Schaffer (Kristin) as well 11 cousins, numerous aunts and uncles and many friends.
David graduated in 2003 from Avon Grove High School and received 2 college trade certificates, one in HVAC from Delaware County Community College and the other as a Personal Fitness Trainer from Dawn Career Center. He worked as a plumber's assistant at various companies in the Delaware Valley.
David had a wonderful love for family and left countless fond memories. He was a talented artist and loved to skateboard. He loved the big city and spent most of his time in Philadelphia. He also loved spending time with his furry friend Maggie.
A funeral mass and celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2024 10:30AM to 11:30AM followed by his funeral mass at 11:30 am at St. Mary Magdalene's Church, 7 Sharpley Road, Wilmington DE, 19803. INT will be held private.
