David Moiger 11/27/1945 - 8/18/2025 After a lengthy courageous battle with lymphoma, David passed away in Dallas, TX, with his wife Ximena, and his daughter Sasha with him as he peacefully departed. David grew up in Knoxville, went to McCampbell Elementary School where he was captain of the safety patrol, taking his job very seriously as he did with every commitment he made. He went to Christenberry Jr. High School, graduating from Fulton High School, and continued his education at the University of Tennessee. He continued his education at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, and after graduating he happily joined the Air Force as captain and served four years. After leaving the Air Force David moved to Dallas, TX and opened a successful optometry practice which gave him great joy seeing and becoming a friend to many patients until he retired several years ago. David always loved Knoxville, the city of his heart, visiting frequently and staying in touch with life long friends especially the Winston family and his best friend, retired Dr. Bill McKissick. David will always be remembered as a kind, gentle caring person to all of those who knew him. He also leaves behind his sister, Anita Worsham of Santa Fe, NM, and his niece, Suzy Worsham, Gualala, CA. He will now join his brother Frank Moiger, and his parents Dorothy and Sol in Knoxville, the home of his heart resting in peace. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 pm at New Jewish Cemetery with military honors. Online condolences may be made at www.Rosefuneraltn.com
