David Arthur Nett, 89, was born on April 11,1935 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to John and Mozelle Nett (Burton), and was welcomed to heaven on February 23, 2025.
David was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara, his daughter Kelli, his son Randall Dewayne Nett, son-in-law Mark Stuart Martinovich, his brother John Edward Nett, his parents John and Mozelle Nett (Burton), and his nephew Chris Nett.
His loving family that continues to honor him includes: daughter, Tami Dawn Martinovich; grandsons, Andrew Martinovich and his wife Meagan, Aaron Martinovich and his wife Victoria, and Alex Martinovich; grand-daughters, Ashley Martinovich and her fiancé Kie Kranzler, and Cearah Abrielle Nett; great-grandsons Mark Owen Martinovich and baby-on-the-way; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Nett; sister-in-law, Vicki Nett; nieces and nephews, Steve Nett and his late wife Mimi (Meredith) Nett, Sherri Nett Wallace; grandnieces and nephews, Landon Nett, Shanin (Shelton) Ford, Sam Nett, and Kira Nett.
David completed his education in Bartlesville, graduating from Bartlesville High School class of 1954. He served his country in the Army and was honorably discharged on June 30th, 1963. David's proud professional 41-year career was at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville where he spent most of his career as a draftsman. David married Barbara Toombs on August 31,1956 at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. They were married for 61 years, until Barbara's passing on October 6, 2017. They were blessed with three children, Randy, Tami, and Kelli. David and Barbara loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, spending quality time with family, and going to the local casinos.
David enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball and golf. A favorite memory of his was being able to play in the Bartlesville League on the Reda team with his dad and brother. In earlier years, David was active in baseball, but his love was golfing at Adams Golf Course, which his dad was instrumental in establishing while he served as Bartlesville City Commissioner.
