Laurel Nett, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed on June 2, 2025. She was 90.
Laurel was born on January 20, 1935 at home in rural Brillion. She was a 1952 graduate of Brillion High School and worked in the Brillion Iron Works office before marrying Kenneth Beilke on June 22, 1957. They had two children, Lonna and Kendal, and lived in the Fox River Valley until Kenneth’s passing in December 1992.
On May 6, 1995 Laurel married Lester Nett, a family friend and widower, and they spent the next 30 years appreciating their second chance at love and traveling. Laurel was a dedicated homemaker who loved being a grandmother. Although she’s physically left us, her acts of kindness will long be remembered by those who loved her.
Laurel is survived by her husband: Lester Nett; children: Lonna Beilke (Lori Weeks) and Kendal (Valerie) Beilke; stepchildren: Mary Rose (Tim) Bolwerk, Marvin Nett, and Michelle (Jim) Fiordalisi; grandchildren: Zachary and Tyler Beilke; Peter (Victoria) Bolwerk, Nathan and Benjamin Bolwerk; Alana and Alex Fiordalisi; a great granddaughter, Cora; brother-in-law: Delmar (Kathy) Nett; sister-in-laws: Elaine Joan (John) Hanby, Darlene (Tom) Elias, and Janice Nett, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Laurel was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Frances (Huebner) Krueger; first husband: Kenneth Beilke; brother Rollo (Marcy) Krueger; sister Judy (Noel) Jepson, Donald Nett, Ronald Nett, Robert (Viola) Nett, Marvin Nett; and sister-in-law: Doris (Daniel) Steinke.
The family is planning a private service and interment. They ask that if you knew Laurel to take some time to reflect on your memories of her, and to hold her close in thought and prayer.
The family gives heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team and staff at St. Paul Elder Services, Kaukauna, for the caring support and kindness they provided to Laurel during her last years. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in memory of Laurel to St. Paul Elder Services Endowment Fund, 316 E. 14th St, Kaukauna, WI 54130, or to a charity of your choosing.
