David Pafford Obituary

David G. Pafford, age 71, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 2:34 pm on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on October 17, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of James and Sarah (McClellan) Pafford.
Dave attended Churubusco High School and graduated with the Class of 1970. He enjoyed playing fastpitch softball, gardening, trapping, being outdoors, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Dave also spent time with his grandchildren and attended all their sporting events.
Survivors include his sons, Rodney (Danielle) Schuchman of Brownsburg, IN, Rick (Michael Bodtmann) Schuchman of Sanford, FL, and Nick (Daniell) Schuchman of Columbia City; grandchildren, Patrick, Katlynn, Brayden, Jenna, Nicholas, and Michael; brother Mack Pafford of Huntington; pet dog Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Debra Schuchman.
Private services were held for Dave's family.
Arrangements by DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dave may be made to Parkview Hospice.

Condolences to the family of Dave. My heart is broken. Dave was a very special person in my life. We met as teenagers and have been friends for over 50 years with lots of memories. I will dearly miss him and our many conversations we had over the years. RIP my friend
