David C. Randall, 97, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. He was born on June 17, 1926 in Jackson to the late James and Mary (Morse) Randall.
David retired from Cooper Energy Services where he worked as a painter. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon. David was an accomplished pianist and played for his church and several area nursing homes.
David is survived by his sons, Terry (Debbie) Randall of Mount Vernon, Stephen (Judy) Randall of Mansfield, and Jeff Randall of Mount Vernon; step sons, Edward (Judy) Hysong of Mount Vernon and Terry (Brenda) Hysong of Mansfield; step daughters, Darlene Allen of Mount Vernon and Dolores Beever of Mount Vernon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Alva Randall of Columbia, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara (Pierce) Randall in 1973; his second wife, Winifred (Hysong) Randall in 2014; a daughter, Diane Hurt; and a sister, Helyn Hershey.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church, 535 Wooster Road, Mount Vernon with Pastor Chuck Gadway officiating.
A private inurnment will take place in Mound View Cemetery.
