David Rodriguez, 65, a native and resident of Berwick, La., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 21, 2023.
David will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Ginger "Sophie" Rodriguez; one son, Stephen Rodriguez; 3 grandchildren and 2 bonus grandchildren; two sisters, Daisy Lange (George) and Phyllis "Tut" Aucoin (Larry); one brother, Eno "Buck" Rodriguez, Jr.; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews will also mourn his loss.
David was proceeded in death by his parents, Eno and Ruth Foret Rodriguez; his paternal grandparents, Ernest "Pat" and Lena Arcemont Rodriguez; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Dela Foret; his in-laws, Edwin and Sophie Ourso; one brother-in-law, Edwin Ourso, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Janell Ourso.
David had a love for working in his garden, helping others and telling stories. His greatest love was his wife of 40 years, Ginger, and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter and fishing buddy, Adeline. David was the co-owner of Ginger's Bakery in Morgan City. He could be found there any day of the week, where the customers became his friends and extended family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation for David on Sunday, April 30, 2023 beginning at 6:30p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday May 1, 2023 at 10:30a.m. until the Funeral Service at 2:00p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Morgan City Cemetery.
