Laurie Rodriguez, age 64, of New Lenox, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Laurie was a life-long resident of New Lenox, IL and daughter to Mary Ann (Flessner) Anderson and the late Harold “Dick” Anderson. Beloved wife of David Rodriguez; loving mother of Sara (Joseph) Kostro, Kelly (Nathan) Rodriguez-Cowan, Anthony Rodriguez, and Jaclyn Rodriguez; cherished grandmother of Griffin, Reece, Ainsley, Harper, Sloan, Maryn, Becket, Blake, and Annie; dear sister of Vicky (Jon) Cheney, Julie (Glen) Blackwell, Bob (Beverly) Anderson, and Kristy (Chris) Sucich; loved aunt, cousin and friend of many. She is also survived by her beloved puppy Finley.

Laurie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed golfing and was a proud and passionate fan of her beloved Chicago Cubs. She never missed an opportunity to shop and laugh with her grandchildren. While Laurie loved to travel, her favorite place was at home filled with the warmth, love and laughter of her family.

For several years, Laurie worked at Hruska Insurance in Mokena, IL. She not only enjoyed her work but truly cherished the friendships with her coworkers.

One of Laurie’s greatest joys in life was cheering on her grandkids at their numerous sports and activities. If you knew her grandkids, you knew their number one biggest fan - their Nana.

Laurie’s kind heart and warm spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength will continue to live on through her children and grandchildren. Though she is no longer with us, her presence remains deeply felt in the lives she shaped.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox, IL on Thursday August 28, 2025 at 11:00 am. A celebration of Life will immediately follow at Green Garden Country Club from 12:30-3:30 pm, located at 9511 W. Manhattan-Monee Rd. Frankfort, IL 60423.
