With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father and grandfather David Earl Webb of Nacogdoches, Tx. His passing occurred on January 22, 2025. Born June 10, 1949, in Miden, La.
It was soon apparent his natural gift as an artist. With art displayed in Kilgore College and art shows in Longview, Tx. A graduate of Pine Tree high school, he developed lifelong friendships. His career took many paths as an employee of the Texas Forest Service and his devotion in repairing homes through Community Action, and as a self-employed carpenter.
He was deeply devoted to his family. Daughters Holli Rebecca Wilson and Robin Sebren Truchelut along with son-in-law Nakia Joe Wilson, all of Nacogdoches. His love grew and knew no bounds when he became a grandfather to Cody Joe Wilson, United States Marine, Caitlyn Paige Kirchman, theatre teacher, Megan Rebecca Wilson, teacher, and Gavin Burnett Truchelet, student.
He is also survived by his brothers, who he had a close loving relationship with, Mike Webb and wife Tracy, Dr. Rick Webb and wife Blessed, all of Longview, Tx. Along with cherished nieces and nephews as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Hickey whom he adored, his older brother Kenneth, whose life ended too soon, his niece Laura with her lovely voice for song and infant sister Mickey (along with many loved pets from dogs, cats, birds and possum).
A celebration to honor David's life will be announced in the near future.
A very special appreciation extends to Martie Fowler, RN for her kind and compassionate care.
