David Wayne White

David Wayne White, (Melly's Hunty), went home to Jesus on October 14, 2024.
Hunty loved his family fiercely and was a fierce and loyal friend. He never missed an opportunity to tell his family and friends that he loved them. He was honest, kind and caring.
David was a lover of all things football, the Vols and Steelers in particular. He loved sitting on the front porch at The White House working on projects and talking with the neighbors. He loved spending time with his children and taste testing his Melly's cooking. He enjoyed long drives in the the mountains and visits from his granddaughters. He had the biggest heart and was always helping people.
God opened the door for David to share his miraculous testimony with many people. After hearing David's story, you couldn't help but be changed. He lived out his faith daily and shared his joy through his smile. All who met David were better for having known him.
He was preceded in death by parents Melvin and Brenda White, grandparents Fred and Ellen Wilkins and TG and Nell White.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie (Melly) DeCant White, son David Paul White (Taylor), son Dillon DeCant(Kaitlyn), daughters Trinity Scott and Katie White, granddaughters Harper White, Hazel DeCant, Willow DeCant and Ellie DeCant, brother Danny White(Michelle), brother Norman White(April), Sister-in-Law Mitzi Parson(Greg), Sister-in-law Bekah Parson Adcock(Forrest), Nieces-Hudson Adcock, Cayley Ratledge Nephews- Sawyer Moore, Ethan Adcock, Steven White, Clay Griffis.
The family will receive friends at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00P.M. until 1:00P.M. memorial service immediately following. In honor of Hunty please wear Pittsburgh Steelers or Tennessee Vols attire.
