Obituary published on Legacy.com by Millender's Funeral Home - Moss Point on Jul. 15, 2025.
On May 24, 1954, Davide Glenn Wilson was gifted to David and Annie Wilson at the City Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. For 71 years, he touched the lives of so many people and brought joy into anyone that got the chance to meet him. On July 13, 2025, he transitioned from this world to lay in eternal rest with his confessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Davide, affectionately called by his middle name, Glenn, was a proud husband and father, a devoted brother and uncle, and a beloved cousin and friend to many. He was a long-term employee of International Paper and Gulf Atlantic Operations, where he would eventually retire in 2021, and a diehard fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and San Francisco 49ers. He was also a devoted member of Lighthouse Church of the Apostolic Faith in
Moss Point, MS. Davide loved spending time with his family and supporting them in all their endeavors, and just as much as he loved his family, everybody loved them some "Glenn"!
His pride and joy lived in the form of his two sons, Brandon ("Big Boy") and Bryan ("Baby Boy") Wilson, his favorite daughter-in-law, Clemencia "Menci" Wilson, and his grandchildren, Quinton, Ava, Layla, Zachary, Kaleb, and Skylar. Even more so, he loved and cherished his wife, Betty Wilson, until his final breath.
During the final years of his life, Davide was able to enjoy retirement and would pick any day that the sun was shining to gas up the Impala and hit the road! Whether it was visiting the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando or driving hundreds of miles to see his nieces, nephews, and younger cousins graduate college, Davide enjoyed his final years of adventure.
Davide was preceded in death by his parents, David Glenn Sr. and Annie Deloris Wilson; parents-in-love, Bishop John and Lois Brown; his grandmother, Lizzie Mae Porter; two (2) brothers, Marvin Earl Ellis and Theris Eugene Wilson; and his sister, Alesia Deloris Wilson.
He leaves his love and memories with his wife, Betty Gynell Wilson of Biloxi, MS; two (2) sons, Brandon Darnell (Clemencia) Wilson of Ocean Springs, MS and Bryan Avary Wilson of
Moss Point, MS; six (6) grandchildren, Quinton Xavier Smith-Wilson, Ava Rose Wilson, Layla Jolie Wilson, Zachary Darnell Wilson, and Kaleb Glenn Wilson of Ocean Springs, MS, and Skylar Avary Wilson of San Diego, CA; three (3) brothers, Terence (Devra) Ellis, Timothy Latrell Wilson, Patrick Bouvier Wilson, all of Mobile, AL; four (4) sisters, Deborah R. Wilson, Cynthia (Thaddeus) Mixon, LaJuana (Leon) Wilson and Cassandra Wilson, all of Mobile, AL; his devoted cousin, Joyce Cook of Mobile, AL; best friend, Phillip Baggins of Mobile, AL; brothers-in-love, Rickey (Renee) Brown, David (Carolyn) Brown, John Eric (Carmen) Brown, and Anthony (Keesler) Brown, all of
Moss Point, MS; and an incredible host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The viewing for Mr. Wilson will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and the funeral at 3:00 p.m. at The Lighthouse Church of the Apostolic Faith, 3831 Kellogg Street,
Moss Point, MS.
The final resting place will be at Macphelah Cemetery, Pascagoula, MS.
