Dawn E. (Poling) Sheppard, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully in Akron, Ohio, on August 18, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on November 12, 1960, in Akron, she was a gentle soul who dedicated her life to nurturing her family, including lovingly caring for her mother during her later years.
Dawn will be cherished in the hearts of many, especially her daughter, Tiffany-Sue Sheppard. She also leaves behind a family that includes Dannette McCarty, Darryl Poling, Dewayne (Tracey) Poling, Makenzie McClinton, Jason Hilliard, Juston Price, Cameron Poling and family, and extended relatives who admired her generous spirit.
A proud graduate of Springfield High School, Dawn embodied kindness and warmth, although those who knew her well would recognize her shyness that slowly melted away with trust and friendship. Her laughter, especially when it came in adorable snorts, was a delightful surprise that could light up any room, revealing a humorous side that made her even more endearing to those around her.
Her leisure was joyfully spent indulging her love for the computer, playing games, and maintaining bonds with family through Facebook. Time shared with loved ones over lunch brought great joy to her life. These moments were not just meals but cherished gatherings filled with laughter, love, and connection that she deeply valued.
Dawn's legacy of care and compassion, her quiet strength, and her loving nature will forever resonate within her family and friends. She is reunited in spirit with her parents, Sue E. Robinson and Deward L. Poling, who preceded her in death. Though deeply missed, the memories and love she gave will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
