Dean Earl Leib, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on March 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Dean was a man of faith, wisdom, humor, and warmth who will be missed dearly by his family.
Friends and family are invited to remember and honor Dean's life on Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. John's United Methodist Church at 820 Almshouse Road in Ivyland, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30, followed by a funeral service at 2:30. A private interment will be held earlier that day.
Dean was born and raised on the family farm of his parents J. Earl and Mary Leib in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and remained a lifelong supporter of both universities. He spent his 35-year career with Rohm and Haas Company, starting as an engineer in the plants, traveling the world with their international division, and eventually serving in executive leadership roles with the company.
As a longtime member of Saint John's United Methodist Church in Ivyland, Pennsylvania, Dean volunteered his time with the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, serving as a liaison between the congregation and pastor/staff of the church.
Above all, Dean loved and was loved by his family. His memory will be carried on by his wife and partner of 63 years, Carol Weast Leib; son Kevin and his wife Linda; daughter Amy and her husband Ryan Kanagy, and by his four grandchildren, Megan, Jason, Sam, and Joseph who all loved him dearly and will miss his presence in their lives.
In lieu of flowers, Dean's family asks that donations be made to St. John's United Methodist Church of Ivyland or Christ's Home Children and Senior Services of Warminster. Please visit the Donation section below for direct links to those organizations.
