Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (26th St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Nov. 29, 2025.
Deana S. Gray, a beacon of love and selflessness, completed her earthly journey on November 26, 2025, the same day she entered this world in 1963, in her beloved hometown of
Bradenton, Florida.
Deana was a pillar of strength and faith, touching lives with her unwavering spirit and boundless love.
Born to Shirley L. Rollings and the late Ernest Boyett, Deana was a cherished member of a vibrant family that included her devoted husband, William Herman Gray, her adoring children, Charlie, Andrew, and Jonthan, along with his wife Leah, and her precious daughter Shaleigh. Deana's life was further enriched by the love of her brother Ernie Boyett Jr. (Suzi), her sister Dedra Maugherman (Jack), her sister Tracy Fields (Jason), her brother Ben Boyett (Jessica), and the delightful presence of her five grandchildren.
Her family circle extended to include 18 nieces and nephews and 42 great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were graced by her nurturing presence. Predeceased by Ernest Boyett (Father), Denise Graessle (Sister) and Joseph Graessle (Nephew), Deana's formative years were spent at Southeast High School, where she graduated in 1981. She then embarked on a fulfilling career as a Project Manager in the plumbing business, dedicating 44 years to the industry with an unyielding commitment to excellence and mentorship. Her professional achievements were paralleled by her deep Christian faith, and she found great joy in going to church and engaging in fellowship with her community.
Her heart, however, found its truest expression in the time she spent with her family, especially the children. Deana's love for the little ones was a testament to her nurturing soul, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to be part of her life.
Her presence was a gift, a source of comfort and joy that will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Deana's life was a narrative of love; a story told in the smiles she brought to people's faces and the help she extended without a second thought. Her selfless nature was the cornerstone of her existence, and her faith-filled life was an inspiration to everyone she met. She navigated her journey with cancer with the same grace and courage that she carried throughout her life, leaving behind a legacy of strength and resilience.
To have known Deana was to have known a personification of love. Her spirit, characterized by an unwavering belief in the goodness of others and a commitment to making the world a better place, will continue to motivate us. She led by example, showing us that the most profound impact we can have is through acts of kindness, compassion, and an unshakable faith in the face of adversity.
Today, as we celebrate Deana's life, we remember not just the sorrow of her passing but the immense joy she brought into our lives. Her story encourages us to love deeply, give freely, and live a life that honors her remarkable spirit. Deana S. Gray, you were a light in this world, and your glow will forever illuminate the paths of those you've left behind. Rest in peace, Deana, until we meet again.
