Deanna Marie Rendón, “Dee Dee," 54, of Kingsville, Texas, transitioned into eternal life on September 25, 2025, after a courageous short battle with cancer. A loving wife, dedicated mother, beautiful daughter and cherished friend, Dee Dee's life reflected kindness, resilience, and boundless love.

Born on May 20, 1971, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Aurora and Eddie Farias. Dee Dee grew up surrounded by a strong small family that included one sibling sister, Kristie. She is a 1989 Bishop High School graduate. Dee Dee continued her education into college earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Marketing from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas.

Shortly after earning her degree, Dee Dee furthered her studies and became a School Teacher. Her first employment as an elementary school teacher took her to the small town of Banquete, Texas. As a newlywed, Dee Dee moved with her husband, Ruben, to Vista, California, and taught at nearby Escondido, California making cherished memories and friendships along the way. In early 2000, Dee Dee moved back to Texas with her husband and taught as an elementary teacher in El Paso, Texas, and Robstown, Texas. After becoming a new mother of twin boys, Ruben III and Roman, Dee Dee eventually moved to teach in Kingsville, Texas. Too much delight, she became the mother of three sons, as her youngest, Rylan, was born. Dee Dee in due course took her beloved career to the small community of Ricardo, Texas where her sons attended. After 28 years as an educator, Dee Dee went on to retire in July of 2025 as a proud Ricardo I.S.D. Yellow Jacket. She was fond and loved by her students and colleagues wherever she landed throughout her illustrious career as an elementary school teacher.

Beyond the school setting and as a mother of three sons, Dee Dee enjoyed the time spent with them and her husband. From her son’s early age, they garnered a liking to the sport of baseball. Dee Dee spent a lot of time with them on the baseball stands and was one to instill and support the love of the game her son's had. Oh, how she loved to sport her baseball shirts displaying her son's jersey numbers.

Outside of supporting her sons on the baseball field, Dee Dee enjoyed going out country dancing, listening to Texas Country music, and being the taste tester of her husband’s BBQ. She loved attending the Houston Astros baseball games and enjoyed being with family on holidays and fishing retreats out in Port Mansfield, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ruben Rendón, Jr.; her three sons, Ruben III, Roman Eriberto, Rylan Benjamin, and family Labrador “Koda.” She also leaves behind her mother, Aurora (Garcia) Farias; father, Eriberto “Eddie" Farias; sister, Kristie (Fidel) Guerrero; niece, Katlyn Guerrero; and a wide circle of family and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. A rite of committal and interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Following her interment service, family and friends are invited to a fellowship gathering at the High Chaparral Hall located in Robstown, Texas. The family ask that in lieu of bringing flowers, handwritten memories and pictures to be shared and placed in a memory box in her honor.

Dee Dee Rendón lived her life like a masterpiece of true love — bold, loving, and full of life. Her presence was a gift to this world, and she will be missed beyond measure. Her laughter and smile were like no other! Although we are heartbroken, we find peace knowing that Dee Dee has entered her eternal home, where she is met and surrounded by loving angels and where she awaits the day where family will join her again in Heaven’s everlasting embrace. Dee Dee's memory will live in our hearts, her love will guide us, and her spirit will never leave us.

Extended gratitude to: MD Anderson, Christus Spohn-Shoreline, Altus Hospice and all family and friends that supported Dee Dee spiritually.
