Deborah Anne "Deb" Clevenger, 64, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 2pm, Tuesday, May 17th, at McPherson Hospital, McPherson, Kansas, McPherson County.
Deb was born in Canandaigua, New York on May 2, 1958, a daughter of the late Shirley Hazel (Straight) and John Baldwin Wells.
Deb attended the Canandaigua schools and graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1976, Canandaigua, New York.
Deborah Anne Wells was united in marriage to Scott Andrew Clevenger on June 18, 1981 in Newark, New York. The young couple established their first home together in Newark, New York. This couple were blessed with four children, three sons and one daughter, Andrew, Andrea, Tim, and Travis.
Deb was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She was the owner and operator of Debbie's Cleaning service for over 20 years in New York. In September of 2013 the family moved to McPherson and in 2014 she began working for U.S.D. 418 School District within the food service division.
Deb was a member of T.A.P.S. Deb enjoyed spoiling her grandkids, cleaning, pedicures, Red Lobster, a connoisseur of Soft Ice Cream, and loved her Buffalo Bills Football team.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband of over 40 years, Scott Clevenger, of McPherson, Kansas; her children, Travis Clevenger and wife Melissa, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Andrew Clevenger and wife Ashley, of Fayetteville, New York, Andrea Cole and significant other Randall Milleson, of McPherson, Kansas; her daughter-in-law, Megan Clevenger, of Cohoes, New York; her brother Robert Wells and wife Roseanne, of Pittsford, New York, and sister Carol Quagliata and husband David, of Newark, New York; her 11 grandchildren, Taylor, Kaleb, Colton, Griffin, Theo, Nicholas, Brody, Tyler, Lucas, Brooke and Dylan; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Wells; a son Tim Clevenger; a son-in-law, Jeremiah Cole, and a niece Megan Bennett.
Deb's wishes were to have no service but a celebration of life may be planned for the future.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The McPherson Cancer Center or T.A.P.S. and they can be sent in care of the Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home; 222 West Euclid; McPherson, Kansas 67460.
