A Memorial Visitation for Deborah "Deb" A. Hansen, age 62, of Welcome, MN, will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Welcome. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Deb passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, MN. The Kramer Family Funeral Home of Trimont, Sherburn, and Welcome, MN, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Deborah Ann (McCoy) Hansen was born on September 3, 1962, in Tracy, MN. She was the daughter of Jim and Arlene (Lanoue) McCoy. She attended Central Elementary School in Fairmont and later graduated from Fairmont High School. Deb furthered her education at Mankato State University where she earned a degree in Computer Science.
On April 4, 1987, Deb was united in marriage to David Hansen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The couple made their home in Welcome and were blessed with a daughter, Ashley. Deb and Dave shared over thirty-seven years together.
Deb worked for over twenty years as an office manager at Militello Motors in Fairmont. More recently, Deb worked as the city clerk for Welcome for over seventeen years until her retirement on September 18, 2024.
Deb was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. During her free time, she enjoyed shopping trips with her girlfriends, tending to her garden, shopping for more plants, as well as handing out boxes of food at Heaven's Table in Fairmont. Deb most loved the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and could often be found at area parks and water parks. Deb was known for always putting others first. She never wanted anyone to fuss over her. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Hansen of Welcome, MN; daughter, Ashley (Benjamin) Kimm and their children, Samuel and Emmett, of Pelican Rapids, MN; father, Jim (Irene) McCoy of Milford, IA; siblings, Steve McCoy of San Jose, CA, and Chris (Michelle) Tordsen of Chaska, MN; brothers-in-law, Marvyn Jr. (Nancy) Hansen, and Donald (Janet) Price of Swea City, IA; mother-in-law, Joyce Picken of Sherburn, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Along with her mother, Arlene McCoy, Deb was preceded in death by her brother, Brad McCoy; father-in-law, Marvyn Hansen Sr.; and brothers-in-law, Michael Hansen, and Danny Hansen.
