In loving memory of, Deborah G. Key aka "Halo", we are saddened to announce her passing on June 20, 2024. She is preceded in death by her father, Minor O. Gaskins Sr., and her mother, Doris Sellers Gaskins, her mother-in-law Macie Key and sister in laws, Phyllis Freeman, Nancy Key, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Walker.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, David E. Key "Red"; son Jeremy D. Key, of the home and son, Johnny Hunsucker of Rock Hill; stepson, Duane Wilson of Rock Hill; brother, Minor O. Gaskins Jr. of Edgemoor (Robin) and sister in laws, Maycie Lloyd, of Rock Hill, Peggy Key, of Kinston NC, Sharon Littlejohn, of Rock Hill, Roger D. Key, of Rock Hill, and Tony L. Key of Rock Hill and 2 grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Deborah was an ordained minister, she loved to feed the hungry, she enjoyed performing wedding ceremonies and she spoke at many funerals, she was a bondsman and enjoyed spending time with her family.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for Halo on July 6th starting at 9am and on, at Mr. David Key's home.
