Debra J. Bianchi, 72, a longtime resident of Framingham died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 after a period of declining health. Born in Portland, ME she was the daughter of the late Carroll & Carol (Bailey) O'Brien, and the beloved wife of the late Peter R. Bianchi.
Debra was raised and educated in Holliston, where she was a 1971 graduate of Holliston High School. She met the love of her life Peter soon after, they married in 1973 and settled in Framingham where they would raise their family.
Debra parlayed her love of children into a career by earning her teaching certificate at MassBay Community College and began teaching at the Jonathan House Nursery School. She eventually took ownership of the school selling in 2014 and working for various other preschools around Framingham and Sudbury up until the pandemic.
Debra had a heart of gold. She was active for many years with the Loring Arena Committee, and Framingham Youth Hockey.
Debra is survived by her children, Peter Jr. of Waltham, Kristen Nystrom & her husband Kurt of Framingham, and Michael of Framingham, her step grandchildren, Jacob and Matthew Nystrom, her siblings, Steve O'Brien & his wife Colleen of Blackstone, Cindy O'Brien & her partner Mike Cushing of Hingham, Lisa Dionne of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Peter, Debra was predeceased by her daughter, Tracy, and her brother, Jeff O'Brien.
Family and friends will honor and remember Debra's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Friday, January 3rd from 4-7PM. Her Funeral Services will be celebrated on Saturday morning in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 3 Maple St. Framingham at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery.
