Debra Louise Broadus

Debra L. "Tootie" Broadus, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Doey's House.
Born Saturday, October 2, 1954, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Carl Franklin Broadus and the late Betty Jane (Smith) Broadus.
Debra was a 1972 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. She was employed with the State of Maryland as a Claims Specialist for 25 years. Debra enjoyed going out to eat with family, gospel music and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Ranelle C. Boyd of Hagerstown, MD and Lindsay A. Boyd of Temple Hills, MD, sisters, Betsy Broadus of Hagerstown, MD and Genny L. Brooks of Manassas, VA, grandchildren, Isaiah Brooks, Aaron Brooks, Kaiya Boyd, Maurice "Scooter" Gibson, Jr., Landen Williams and Aiden Williams amd a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Mildred Owens, Surrogate mother and father Margaret and David Hunter, brother, William "Junnie" Broadus.
Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. John Ruffner officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
