I graduated with Debi in 1979. In 7th grade she sat next to me in most of our classes as both our last names started with M. We became friends and bonded over our love of John Denver. Remember, this was 1974 before cell phones. The summer after 7th grade we wrote letters to each other at least once a week all summer. Mostly talking about John Denver. During the next couple of years our classes didn't overlap and we didn't remain close friends. 40 years later I ran into Debi at Michaels in Lebanon and told her I had a small craft/floral shop outside Palmyra. She stopped by every season for new floral items for her house. I was so happy to rekindle our friendship. I was so sorry to hear of her home going and pray for your entire family. She was a lovely person and I will always think of the letters we wrote that summer with fond memories.
