Debra J (Guevin) Moore, 69, a lifelong resident of Melrose passed away suddenly on February 13, 2025.
She was born on July 4, 1955 in Melrose, Ma. She graduated from Melrose High School, class of 1973. She was married to her loving husband, Roy for 45 years. Together they raised their three children. They loved to spend all their free time at the family camp on Ossipee Lake.
Debra loved to garden, to watch sunsets, go for boat rides around the lake, fireworks displays, to take road trips, but most of all to spend time with all her grandchildren.
Debra was the cherished daughter of Claire Guevin-Shomody and the late Robert Guevin. Step daughter of the late Edward Shomody.
She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Moore. Survived by her daughter Meridith Pesce, and her sons Robert Moore and his wife Jennifer, and Adam Moore. Nurturing grandmother of Tyler, Kailyn, Allesandra, Alexis, Tyler F., Bailey, Peyton and Hunter. Sister of Sandra Shelton and her husband John, Laura Ploof, Daniel Guevin and his wife Joanne. Daughter in law to the late Norman and Ethel "Betty" Moore. Sister in law to David Moore and his wife Lisa, Paul Moore and his husband Eric Barnett. Also survived my many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Funeral Service will held at 7:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Debra's name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St. Suite 1234 Boston, Ma 02115.
