Debra Walter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Lexington Avenue Chapel on Feb. 15, 2025.
Debra Ann "Deb" Walter, 64, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed unexpectedly but peacefully at home February 12th 2025.
Debra was born on the 23rd of October 1960 to Clifford & Jeanette Morrison in North Tarry town, New York. 1 of 6 Morrison siblings. She graduated Sleepy Hollow High School in the spring of 1978 and went on to attend SUNY Brockport of Brockport, New York. In 1980 she would make her way to Hinesville, Georgia to live with her brother Donald. It was there where she would end up meeting the love her life, Roy, while he was in the service.
Deb and Roy would go on to get married in the fall of 1981 and start their adventures around the globe. Traveling duty station to duty station, country to country, leaving a lasting impression with everyone they came in contact with before settling down in Ohio in 1995. Throughout their travels and adventures Deb and Roy went on to have 1 daughter Cassandra R. (Ryan) Weaver, 2 sons Benjamin E. (Sierra) Walter and Zachary A. (Chloe) Walter, 2 bonus daughters Tina (John) Hegadush and Missy (Rusty) Waldman and her 2 four-legged children Harley and Dozer.
Anyone who was lucky enough to get to know Deb would quickly learn she had many passions in life. She carried a love for the New York Giants and Yankees that her father handed down to her. She had a love for all things Disney (mainly Mickey Mouse and not Minnie), traveling, and and the title she cherished above all "Gigi".
Debra was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Jeanette Morrison and her beloved brother Donald Morrison.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 44 years Roy A. Walter. Her three children: Cassandra, Benjamin, Zachary. Her 8 grandchildren: Maxwell, Zane, Phyllip, Theodore, Lincoln, Rilynn, Ryder, Rhigs. Her 4 siblings: David (Donna) Morrison, Diane (Michael) McNamara, Denise (Robert) Knox, Dennis (Ann) Morrison, her bonus sister Kaylyn (Troy) McClellan. Her 27 nieces and nephews, as well as many bonus grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge (499 Park Ave W, Mansfield, OH 44903) on Wednesday February 19th 2025 at 5pm. Please contact the family for any additional information.

Rest in peace Debbie. I'll never forget our days as elementary school classmates at St.Teresa's in North Tarrytown and as first cousins of course!
