Delbert Graves Obituary
He was born on February 11, 1941, in New Albany, IN to Raymond and Elizabeth Smith Graves. Delbert retired after 42 years of teaching Industrial Arts at Hazelwood Junior High School in New Albany. He enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys, woodworking, reading, and hiking. He was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity member at Western Kentucky University. Delbert was a kind person who always helped other people. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Graves, son, Bradley Graves (Amy) of Lanesville, IN, daughter, Kelley Graves (Nate McBee) of Noblesville, IN, sister, Marilyn Hines of Nabb, IN, grandchildren, Sarah Burns (Logan) of Anderson, IN, Grant Bowyer (Emily) of Muncie, IN, Jacob Graves of Vancouver, WA, Austin Graves of Lanesville, great-grandchild, Murphy Burns.
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
