Delores C. Bortner

Delores C. (Yohe) Bortner, age 88, of York, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 21, 2025. She was the loving wife of James E. Bortner with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 26, 2024.
Delores was born in Spring Grove, PA on October 18, 1936 and was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Rudisill) Yohe. She graduated from Spring Grove Area High School Class of 1954 and worked for Seven Valleys Garment Company for many years prior to her retirement in 1999. After retiring, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Alongside her husband, Delores was also a faithful member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover for the last 45 years.
In addition to her loving husband James, Delores is survived by her son Jeffrey Bortner and wife Tamea of York, PA; her daughter Robin Hibner and husband Kenneth of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren Meagan Wetherald and husband James of Bonsall, CA, Laura Cunningham and husband Chris of Dover, PA, Matthew Bortner and wife Melissa of Oceanside, CA, and James Hibner of Summerville, SC; six great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother-in-law David Bortner of Lititz, PA. Delores was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kasey Hibner; and her brothers John Yohe and Marlin Yohe.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Delores' life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Pastor Greg Thomas officiating. Interment will be held privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Spring Grove. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
