Delores C. Broussard

A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA for Delores C. Broussard, 77, who passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will resume on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 8:30 am until the time of service.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Deacon Randy Hyde, of Lafayette, LA, will officiate.

Delores C. Broussard, was born August 22, 1948, in Lafayette, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana.

Delores dedicated her career to the cosmetology industry as a hairdresser in Lafayette for over 40 years. She was an avid lover of Elvis. Delores cherished family gatherings, where she found joy in cooking, laughing and having good times together. Family meant everything to Delores and she leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed.

Delores is survived by her two sons, Zachariah Saul Broussard and his wife, Tara, of Rayne, LA, and Nicholas Saul Broussard and his wife, Leslie, of Breaux Bridge, LA; her five sisters, Ruth Menard and her companion, Brad Kidder, of Carencro, LA, Laura Stout and her husband, Dwayne, of Sunset, LA, Linda Perry and her husband, Butch, of Baton Rouge, LA, Mary Bourque and her husband, Mike, of Mire, LA and Christine Broussard and her husband, Shane, of Kaplan, LA; her four brothers, Ivy Menard, Jr., and his wife, Diane, of Mire, LA, Cliff Menard and his wife, Debbie, of Duson, LA, Shannon Menard, of Sunset, LA and George Menard, of Baton Rouge, LA; her five grandchildren, Hunter Broussard, Skyler Richard and her husband, Dylan, Morgan Racca and her husband, Jake, Dylan Broussard and his fiancée, Alyssa and Avery Broussard; her three great-grandchildren, Scarlett Richard, Braxton Boone and Easton Broussard and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ferman Cormier; her mother, Lacy Comeaux Menard and her husband, Ivy Menard, Sr.; her sister, Hazel Lemaire and her brother, Floyd Menard.

The family wishes to thank Delores' sister, Mary Bourque, for the loving support she gave not only to Delores, but also to her family.
