A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA for Paul Raymond Hebert, 95, who passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at his residence in Lafayette, LA.

Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.

A Eulogy will be shared by Allen Hebert, along with a Rosary and final prayers recited by Deacon Robert Klingman on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, beginning at 10:30 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA.

Readers for the service are Angela Comeaux and Caelan McCain. Gift Bearers will be Kelly McCain and Jenna McCain.

Father Mario Romero, Retired Priest of Lafayette Diocese, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, LA.

Paul Raymond Hebert was born June 3, 1930, in Olivier, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. He graduated from New Iberia Senior High in New Iberia, LA in 1947. As a proud veteran, Paul served in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict. He worked for the City of Lafayette for 34 years as an Engineer Draftsman and retired in 1992. Paul was an Eagle Scout with 2 Palms, a Boy Scout leader, and a member of the VFW Post 9822.

After retirement, Paul most enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling extensively with his wife. They loved going to Bluegrass Festivals. Paul took pleasure in vegetable gardening, building guitars and playing country and bluegrass music. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette and was known to be praying rosaries for numerous people at any given time. Family meant everything to Paul, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Nita Adams Hebert, of Abbeville, LA; his three sons, Paul 'Weston' Hebert and his wife, Patricia, of Waxahachie, TX, Allen James Hebert and his wife, Rebecca 'Becky', of Katy, TX, and Raymond Charles Hebert and his wife, Brenda, of Broken Arrow, OK; his three daughters, Mary Lynn Hebert Carlin and her husband, Steven, of Katy, TX, Anita May Hebert Kizziar and her husband, Mark 'Randy', of Lafayette, LA and Barbara Ellen Hebert Comeaux and her husband, Craig, of Lafayette, LA; his two daughters-in-law, Gena Boone Hebert, of Frisco, TX and Connie Bradford Hebert, of Broken Arrow, OK; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William, I, and May Georgia DeRouen Hebert; his two sons, Joseph William 'Bill' Hebert, II, and Thomas 'Tommy' Glenn Hebert; his two brothers, Carlisle Hebert and Francis Hebert, and his two sisters, Mary Hayes and Willa Mae 'Billie' Kleinpeter.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Weston Hebert, Allen Hebert, Raymond Hebert, Steven Carlin, Randy Kizziar and Craig Comeaux.

Honorary Pallbearers are his grandsons, Nicholas Hebert, Nathaniel Hebert, Brian Hebert, Andrew Hebert, Joshua Hebert, Stephen Hebert, Evan Carlin, Dustin Kizziar, Austin Hebert, and Brady Comeaux.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hope Hospice, especially Bethany McCloskey, as well as Ms. Lou August and her staff for the compassionate care given to Paul and his family.
